The heroine, Hester Detweiler is a very stubborn and strong-willed Mennonite woman. Its very fitting that the hurricane due to hit the Florida town is also named Hester! And because of that hurricane we meet the hero, John Steiner. John is equally stubborn and does not want to evacuate his home. Without giving too much away, these two are basically thrown together throughout the book due to the massive destruction caused by the hurricane. But will love find its way into the hearts of two bitter and broken strangers? You'll just have to read it! Although this isn't the genre I usually read, something about this book caught my eye. And I am happy that I got to read it!
